Finding the quintessential food and wine pairings is perhaps both the most rewarding and elusive challenge many epicures face when planning for an important meal or event. Discovering the perfect wine, which complements a recipes’ star ingredients, and is exceptionally pleasing to one’s own palate, can be half the fun. While we strongly believe that food and wine pairings are highly subjective and personal, we have some favorite pairings we’d like to share.
Working with our wine partner Porthos in the California Wine Country, we’ve selected a few favorite combinations. The Porthos Team samples over 5,000 wines annually and recommends only the highest scoring 1% to their audience of wine collectors.
Established in June 2000 in the California wine country, Porthos offers insider connections to the finest hard-to-find and small production, boutique wines not normally available in regular retail stores.
